Comment: According to Farrington (2012), this athlete was probably active somewhere between c. 210-230. In TAM V.2, 1018 the athlete is mentioned as ‘ton periodon’, which could be a shortened form of periodonikes. The specific festivals are not mentioned, therefore we assume that Alexandros was victorious in the four traditional panhellenic festivals. TAM V.2, 1017 mentions Alexandros as a pankratiast. According to this inscription he would also have been victorious in the Megala Asklepeia. Farrington suggests that this might be the festival in Pergamon. Inscription TAM V.2, 1019 records that Alexandros was victorious at the Augousteia Pytheia. Farrington suggests that this might have been the festival in Nikaia. - YP
